FWTS Chapter 150: The Second New Book (Part 2)

On the 20th, the day of the Little New Year, many of Hou Muyun's fans went to work yawning, looking quite worn out because they had stayed up late reading his new book the previous night.

The new book, "Chronicles of Future Wars," is currently at 120,000 words. Based on their usual reading speed, fans could typically finish it in about two hours, but they found that this book couldn't be read at the same pace as a typical web novel. If they sped up, they quickly realized they missed important information and had to go back, which took even more time. 

The 120,000 words took them over four hours to finish. During the process, the more they read, the more engrossed they became, unable to stop. After finishing, they were incredibly excited, frantically discussing it in groups and on forums. It was hard for even the most determined readers to get to sleep before 5 AM.

This new book "Chronicles of Future Wars" didn’t hit a thousand alliances within minutes of being uploaded like "Nine Heavens," but by around 8 AM, the number of alliances had reached a thousand. Then, starting from around 2 PM, there was another surge in rewards, and online discussions increased significantly. 

Hou Muyun's Weibo post about the new book had over 100,000 shares and 780,000 comments!

Additionally, many people on Weibo, including numerous writers and scholars, recommended the book. At the same time, a knowledge-based website started discussions about "Chronicles of Future Wars," where many professionals analyzed and discussed aspects related to their fields.

Meanwhile, Hou Muyun had already flown from Changsha to Shanghai and spent the entire afternoon in his studio. The three members of the studio were both amused and exasperated when Hou Muyun returned with 12 new songs. 

These 12 songs were not entirely new; they were tunes Hou Muyun had composed for twelve different traditional Chinese poetic forms, including six he had already completed during his livestreams. This time, he had revised and rearranged them. 

The three studio members were now very excited. Although their eyes were small, they sparkled with enthusiasm. Hou Muyun's compositions and arrangements were truly exceptional, making them very eager.

As for whether composing tunes for traditional poetic forms was too arrogant or might cause negative repercussions, they didn't care. Hou Muyun could take the heat!

Old Fu, with a cigarette in his mouth, pondered for a moment and said, "Monkey, with these arrangements, the twelve songs require a lot of instrumental accompaniment. When do you plan to complete them?"

"No rush."

Old Fu, hearing that the timeline wasn't too tight, breathed a sigh of relief. "I'll go outside for a smoke and contact a few people for you."

Old Fu left the studio, stood in the hallway, lit his cigarette, and called a close friend to arrange a meeting as soon as possible. Previously, the three of them hadn’t dared to introduce their friends to the studio, but now their attitudes had changed.

First, the four new songs had proven Hou Muyun’s genuine talent and capability. Second, the twelve new tunes he presented today showed that he was serious about his work!

The other two clearly shared this sentiment. Moreover, the four new songs released by Music Monkey Studio had already attracted some musicians. The music industry is small, and many people knew that this new studio was looking for members.

By around 8 PM, the studio staff had left for the day, and the members had gone home to rest. Only Hou Muyun and Little Fatty remained in the office. Little Fatty had a lot to handle, and Hou Muyun had even more to deal with.

With the New Year approaching, Hou Muyun planned to store up some drafts and then take a well-deserved break.

Around 10 PM, Hou Muyun stood up to take a break. Little Fatty had just finished his work and was watching Mango TV's Little New Year’s Eve Gala.

“Did Fifteen and I appear yet?”

“It’s over.”

“Why didn’t you call me?”

“With the way you were working, I didn’t even dare bring you water, let alone disturb you.”

“Alright, I’ll watch the video later.”

“Do you have to be so smug? Isn’t it awkward watching your own performance?”

“Haha, it actually is a bit.”

Seeing that he had already appeared, Hou Muyun quickly checked his points. Over the past few days, with the four new songs and a new book, his points had accumulated to 190,000. He had expected to reach 200,000 after the gala aired.

He found that his points had already reached 220,000.
