FWTS ### Chapter 151: Mastery of English

"I'll probably need some time. You should head home and rest early."

"Alright, I'll tidy up. No need to say goodbye when I leave."

Since he was about to equip the "Mastery of English Card," which undoubtedly contained a vast amount of information that would take time to absorb, Hou Muyun decided to let Little Fatty leave early.

Back in his office, he sat down and placed the "Mastery of English Card" into the card slot. He then clicked to consume 200,000 points to equip it.

Once the points were deducted, the card in the slot transformed into a beam of light that shot into the avatar of Hou Muyun in the top left corner of the interface. Subsequently, a new line appeared below the avatar: [Mastery of English: Special Skill, Unique, Non-stackable].

Hou Muyun could clearly feel an influx of new information in his brain. It wasn't as dramatic as a computer loading data, but the amount of information was far greater than any previous card.

Of course, it wasn't accompanied by the headaches often depicted in movies. The human brain's capacity is astonishing; according to some scientists, it can store the entire collection of the British Library. Moreover, this estimate pertains only to the usable capacity of an average person's brain, with about 95% of its potential still untapped.

Still, Hou Muyun was understandably overwhelmed. The sheer volume of information he received was equivalent to:

- One set of the Oxford English Dictionary

- Multidisciplinary specialized dictionaries

- The most comprehensive set of English textbooks

- Audio recordings of various regional English pronunciations

- A collection of English-related materials

In other words, after equipping this card, Hou Muyun knew everything there was to know about the English language.

Mastery meant complete mastery!

It wasn't just about reaching a certain level of proficiency or achieving the standards of an international translator. It wasn’t merely being able to flawlessly express everything he knew in Chinese in English. To exaggerate a bit, it was almost omniscience within the realm of the English language.

Mastery!

This was true mastery!

Hou Muyun was stunned for a long time before a look of ecstasy spread across his face.

The information contained in this card, though not fully integrated into his consciousness yet, could be accessed whenever needed. By frequently "flipping through" it, Hou Muyun believed he could quickly become one of the most knowledgeable people in the world regarding English. Or, more accurately, he already was one of the most knowledgeable.

"No wonder this card is unique!"

"No wonder it’s an SR card!"

"No wonder it requires 200,000 points to equip!"

In terms of language alone, his current understanding of English surpassed that of Chinese!

Of course, this pertained only to the language itself, not the culture.

...

Around 11 PM, Little Fatty finished tidying up and was about to leave for his rented apartment. He glanced at the office; seeing no activity, he smiled. This guy was really dedicated.

Considering the time, Little Fatty decided to order some food for Hou Muyun before leaving. But before he could place the order, someone knocked on the door. Thinking it might be Old Fu or someone else, he went to open it and was surprised to see Chu Qing.

"Miss Chu, hello," he greeted.

Standing at the door was indeed Chu Qing.

Chu Qing asked, "Hello, is he inside?"

Little Fatty nodded, noticing Chu Qing was holding something that looked like a food delivery. "Yes, he's in the office. Let me take you there."

Chu Qing waved her hand. "No need, I’ll go by myself. It's that one, right?"

Little Fatty nodded and watched Chu Qing walk toward the office, his expression turning vivid.

"No wonder he told me to leave early today. He had an appointment!"

"I was just about to order him some food, but here she comes with it!"

"Impressive! Truly impressive!"

Seeing the situation, Little Fatty knew he couldn’t stay any longer. He quickly grabbed his things and left.

He was excited!

The flames of gossip were burning brightly!

How could he not be excited?

It was Chu Qing!

This was Chu Qing!

### Chapter 151: Mastery of English

Earlier, when news about the "Xuanyuan Sword Master" TV series broke, there were many online jokes speculating about a follow-up to the hero rescuing the damsel in distress. Some even wondered if there was something going on between Hou Muyun and Chu Qing.

Little Fatty had seen all these speculations but dismissed them with a smile. After all, they sounded like baseless rumors.

But now, at this late hour, with Chu Qing bringing supper to Hou Muyun, alone together in the office, even Little Fatty couldn't help but let his imagination run wild!

This was truly something extraordinary!

Not long ago, he was jokingly “shipping” Hou Muyun with Shi Shiwu, and now Chu Qing was here!

Little Fatty's admiration for Hou Muyun was as boundless as the Yellow River!

Chu Qing had no idea that Little Fatty misunderstood her visit. She had simply bought food from a supper place she liked and, remembering that Hou Muyun's studio was nearby, called to check if he was in. Then she decided to drop by.

Naturally, she didn’t think about whether Hou Muyun had informed Little Fatty. It wasn’t her style to explain herself right away, nor was it something someone of her status would do.

She also didn’t know that only Hou Muyun and Little Fatty were in the studio. Now, it was just Hou Muyun left.

Chu Qing knocked on the door and entered after hearing Hou Muyun's response.

"So quick?"

After their call, Hou Muyun resumed his “digesting” process, assuming Little Fatty had left. Seeing Chu Qing walk in, he figured Little Fatty had let her in. He went to ask Little Fatty to bring drinks but found him gone, so he poured a glass himself.

"I thought you’d be recording songs or something this late at the studio, but you’re writing a novel. You’re really dedicated," Chu Qing said, accepting the water and opening the takeout. She got straight to the point, "I heard you started another new book. Are you trying to cash in on the IP trend by writing several at once?"

"That's part of it. I'm still young, so I might as well work hard while I can. Also, my fame and reputation are decent right now, so it’s a good time to make some money," Hou Muyun said, laughing as he saw the takeout Chu Qing brought. "Pan-fried dumplings and so many marinated snacks! I was worried you, a wealthy young lady, would bring some desserts or something. This is great!"

He grabbed a dumpling, dipped it in vinegar, and popped it into his mouth.

Chu Qing rolled her eyes, "Where did you get the idea that rich young ladies eat dessert for supper? Are you talking about a wealthy young lady or a fat lady?"

"Haha, isn’t that how it’s shown in many TV dramas? Besides you, I don’t know any wealthy young ladies."

"It’s a good thing you don’t write modern novels; otherwise, people would laugh their heads off! I remember reading a popular modern urban novel when I returned to the country. It was about high society, filled with luxury brands. The dialogue almost made me laugh out loud! It’s hard to imagine high society living like that; it would be unbearable. But many people believe that’s how it is..."

Hou Muyun stuffed another dumpling into his mouth, speaking unclearly, "Pan-fried dumplings are sweet, sweet to sorrow!"

Chu Qing laughed, "Exactly. Let’s not talk about this. By the way, I didn’t just bring you some food; I also wanted to discuss some things about the production team. The main actors are almost finalized, and the additional investment needed has been calculated."
